Brief description of the project

English below.

Every day, when fishermen in Ada, Ghana, pull in their nets, they find more than just fish.
Kilograms and kilos of plastic from the sea arrive in the nets, a huge problem not only for the community of Ada Foah, but for the entire ecosystem, flora and fauna.

Video created and produced by BIENE for the awareness campaign and its stakeholders.

Video text:
We all know what it is - hundreds of metres of our coastline are covered in plastic - When you open the fishing net, it doesn't just bring in fish... - you open the net and the few fish are gone, and the plastic remains; it is not edible, it is not biodegradable - it remains on our coast, in our sea, in our communities for years and years - there is still work to be done... - but we know that together we can do it! - Let's live with respect:
for the people, for the economy, for the planet - one Ada, one Ghana, one World
